Why Can't My Members See or Join This?
The complete list of reasons an event is invisible or a player cannot register — most common cause first.

League weeks live under Events → Open Play, alongside your regular open play. This is where you open each week’s registration.
The short answer: nine times out of ten it is a league week still sitting in Draft. Open its registration and it appears immediately.
It is invisible — nobody can see it
1. It is still a Draft. Events are created in Draft, and players do not see draft events at all — no greyed-out row, no “coming soon”. The event is simply absent, which is why this looks like a bug rather than a setting. Open it with Open Registration on the event's manage screen.
Leagues are the trap. Creating a league generates every week as its own draft event, and you open them one at a time. The League screen has no button for this — go to Events → Open Play, where league weeks sit alongside your regular open play, and open each one there. Tournaments do have the button on the tournament itself. Leagues do not.
If a member can see week 1 but not week 2, this is always the answer.
2. Clinics use a publish switch instead. The Create Clinic screen has a Publish Immediately toggle — “Players can see and enroll right away” — which is on by default. Leave it on and the clinic is live the moment you create it. Switch it off and the clinic is saved as a draft, and you publish it later with Publish Clinic on the clinic’s screen.
3. They have the wrong club selected. Everything is scoped to the club picker at the top of the screen.
4. It is a members-only event. Non-members still see it, with a Members Only badge and a button offering to view plans. Note that members-only events must be free — you cannot set both an entry fee and a plan restriction.
5. It already finished. Completed events stay visible for 24 hours so people can check standings, then drop off.
6. It never started. A night whose start time passed more than a day ago without ever starting disappears from player view entirely — even though its status still says registration. You still see it under your Events tab.
They can see it but cannot register
The error message names the gate they hit.
Not accepting registrations — same as above, open registration.
Exclusive to members — they lack a qualifying plan. For members-only events both partners must be members, and you cannot enter a guest partner by name.
Waiver required — they need to accept your club's waiver. It prompts them and retries automatically.
Rating below the minimum / above the maximum — a rating band, and the message names both numbers.
Already registered — sometimes as someone else's partner, or the partner they picked is taken.
No eligible competition found in this group — for league and tournament groups. Deliberately vague because several draws were tried and none fit; check your draws one at a time against that player.
Players with no rating skip the band entirely. The check only runs if they have a rating, so an unrated newcomer can join a 4.5+ event. Ask them to take the skill assessment first if that matters.
A full event is not an error. Registering puts them on the waitlist automatically. And a failed payment is not a rejection either — a spot is held for 10 minutes while they pay, and their button reads Complete Payment until then.
How waitlists actually behave
Joining is automatic on a full open play or league event; clinics have an explicit Join Waitlist button per session. Order is first-come, first-served, and promotion is automatic the moment a spot frees up.
Free event — they are straight in.
Paid event — they get 30 minutes to pay, with the spot held the whole time.
Covered by their membership, or by monthly clinic credits — straight in, no payment step.
Nobody is charged automatically. If they do not pay inside the 30 minutes the offer cascades to the next person. When the event starts, anyone still waiting is released and told they were not charged.
Do not confuse the timers. 10 minutes is the hold for someone registering directly and mid-checkout. 30 minutes is the waitlist claim window, deliberately longer because they are reacting to a notification rather than sitting in the app.
Things that do not exist
Clubs ask for these regularly. None are settings you have missed: there is no registration deadline or open/close date; there is no close-registration button (you can move an event back to Draft, but only if nobody has paid — otherwise start the event); there are no per-club feature toggles on event types; and there is no age restriction, gender being the only demographic gate.

Publish Immediately is on by default. Switch it off and the clinic is saved as a draft that players cannot see.
Can’t find what you need? Ask from inside the app: Settings → Report a Problem or Ask a Question.
