Reaching Members: The Three Layers

What you post, what you send, and what the app already says for you.

Choosing who to reach out to

Choosing who to reach out to

Owners often feel out of control because they don’t know what the app is saying to members. There are three layers — two you drive, one that runs itself.

Layer 1 — what you post: Club Announcements

Settings → Club Announcements → +. Give it a title and a message, then tap Publish Article.

You can add a button that jumps players straight to the right screen: register for an open play event, view membership plans, book a court, see clinics, or view rankings.

  • Announcements appear on the home screen of every player who has added your club. Think billboard, not text message — they don’t send a push or an email.

  • Promoting an event? Set Remove automatically with a date so the card never outlives the event. To take one down quietly, switch off Visible in app.

Layer 2 — what you send: direct messages

  • One event: open it → ⋯ → Message Players. Write a subject and a message and it goes to everyone registered — “Courts wet, start 30 minutes late”. Delivered by push and email, and kept in each player’s in-app Inbox.

  • A whole series or league season: ⋯ → Message Series. Then pick who hears it: everyone in the series, or Played but not signed up for next — the people who came before and haven’t re-registered.

  • Growth outreach: Analytics → an Opportunity card → Reach Out. These are ready-written win-back and fill-this-event invites. For people not yet on the app you can attach signup credit. Anyone contacted in the last 14 days is left out automatically, so you never spam.

Layer 3 — what the app sends by itself

Confirmations, reminders, waitlist promotions, receipts, and cancellation notices all go out automatically. See “What the App Sends Automatically” for the full list.
